Corp Cup is not a single tournament — it is a standalone community that launches different events over time, beginning with a chess championship between private-sector companies as its first.

Why Corp Cup
A real gap in Iraq’s business environment
Iraq’s business environment lacks recurring events that bring companies together informally to build genuine relationships. Existing events are either rigid protocol occasions or marketing campaigns that create no real interaction. Corp Cup closes that gap with events combining refined competition and genuine networking, in an environment designed carefully from arrival through to the closing ceremony.

Inaugural edition
Corporate & Embassy Chess Championship
The first Corp Cup event: a professional chess championship gathering representatives of private-sector companies operating in Iraq alongside embassies, in an experience that blends refined mental competition with institutional relationship-building — from the moment of arrival through to the closing ceremony. The championship runs in two parts: the first on 25 September from 00:00 to 03:00 with the 32-competitor bracket, and the second a week later from 12:00 to 17:00 for the rest of the bracket.
